Nourish Your Neighbor – River Community Church

I think it’s important to do the Nourish Your
Neighbor Food Drive. A home cooked meal that is delicious and has
a great nutritional value. Keep your body strong. It provides security to a lot of people that
might not have security when it comes to knowing where their next meal is going to come from. It’s what we’re called to do, it’s what the
church is called to do. It’s what the rest of the community is called
to do. I think it’s important to do the Nourish Your
Neighbor Food Drive because at one time I received assistance and I want to help other
people, so that other people can receive that. It’s important to bring the community together,
especially being from a church trying to feed your neighbor and what not. Being able to bring people together and get
some healthy options, like Cheerios for children, or adults. I like Cheerios. And being able to support one another whenever
we’re in need. So in case something goes wrong you have the
opportunity to have a home cooked meal that is delicious and has a great nutritional value. Keep your body strong. I mean it’s important for a lot of reasons. It’s easy to have dinner at our homes each
night and eat with our families and forget the fact that there are people in our world
and our communities that don’t have the luxuries we have. So to have the opportunity to give food to
those people. It’s what we’re called to do. It’s what the church is called to do and it’s
what the rest of the community is called to do, is to give back to our community. When reality hits, these boxes right here,
this is what the church, this is what we should be doing. This is how we should be serving our community
and glorifying the Lord in that way. So, i’m done. It provides security to a lot of people that
might not have security when it comes to knowing where their next meal is going to come from. I mean I think waking up knowing that you
have food to get through the day and get your family through the day provides a comfort
that is important to get through every day life. The Lyric, Rienman’s, Thousand Islands Agency,
and the Empire State Minds for hosting the box when we were unable to be open and collecting
individually within each location. So thank you very much.
